With the new structure of having a DOF in place i wonder if Moshiri wouldnt appoint one first?
Surely thats's more of a priority than a manager seeing as a DOF is the one who signs players and also assists in appointing managers based on his strategy of how the team should play and the culture he installs at the club?
A DoF doesnt appoint Managers.
A Chairman does.
But the DOF has a shortlist compiled of the most suited to replicate the previous managers systerms etc eho can fit with the clubs culture.
Negative.
Well, thats what monchi and les reed have done.
So moshiri should hire a DOF first....key figure.
What happens if you hire a DOF suited to a manager and the manager fails, then do you fire the DOF also if hes not compatible with the new guy?

A Chairman does.
Or in our case, the major shareholder (not the Chairman)![]()
With the speed Mr Moshiri is ringing the changes, do you see it as a real possible timeframe that we may finally see Bill and Jon go this Summer? At least the recruitment of our next manager puts to bed any lingering ideas that Bill is still in control of our club.
The contrast between Bill entertaining a former manager at the boxing whilst Moshiri is at the CL final meeting & negotiating with genuine top drawer candidates could not be any greater.
