Many just want Usmanov's billions mate.
Usmanov's rich, but he's also a very very shrewd businessman. People see a slavic last name and assume he's just another oligarch, but he's made his money through clever investments and without being handed any sweetheart deals like say Abramovitch.

I'd be happy with Mr Moshiri, and him bringing in the right people in time.

We need to be patient for a season or two. We are basically rebuilding a club from scratch on and off the field.

I'll be delighted if Usmanov was able to join us, but until someone comes up with a workable solution to how he can do it, and evidence that he wants to do it, then I'll continue to believe it won't happen.

I'm very comfortable without it happening, regardless of the above.
It's not an overly complicated situation if he sold off all of his Arsenal shares he can buy shares at Everton.

Of course you're not going to sell up over 30% of Arsenal over night and there hasn't been any evidence of him wanting to sell up at Arsenal to come here but there doesn't have to be a big solution found for him to come here.

Well, but even Abramovich is very clever investor too. Or maybe just lucky who knows. According to KPMG valuations of football clubs Chelsea has a value of £1.45 billion. He bought Chelsea for £140m and then invested around £1 billion into it. So even if it looks like he just throws out all the money there, he would actually likely get more than all his invested money back. Quite the same thing can be said about Man City.

And so it is really likely Moshiri absolutely knows what he is doing even if he is going to invest a lot of money into us. And this is exactly the reason why I believe he is going to build us a new stadium and will pay it mainly from his own wallet.

Didn't moshiri buy a 49.9% stake for 85m. If that is correct the club was valued at around 175m. But according to this list we are valued at around 300m. Something doesn't seem right with that valuation especially because we need a new stadium.

That says us Moshiri did a real bargain. Our real price seems much more realistic for me around 300m. We are guaranteed 180m at least via TV rights+parachute payments and the market price of our team is 175m according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, but we would really likely be able to raise more more money if we would sell all our players. Our stadium has almost no value and we have nothing else quite valuable except of our brand and fan base, but on the other side we have almost no debts and minimal expenses except of player wages. So if our owner would try to sell everything we have, he would be probably able to get something like 200m from player sales while he would still get at least 180m pounds from TV rights and some extra million from sponsors, while he would have quite minimal expenses if all our players would go together with their wages. So 300m is around right for me for our assets.

Purchased them at a cheaper rate with a guarantee he would invest in a new stadium I believe.

@The Esk is correct that strategically it doesnt make sense for anyone to buy Usmanov out. He's stuck there as things stand.

@The Mighty Quint is correct that someone who can blow $600mil on a yacht wont stick around at Arsenal unless hes the owner or at least has a seat on the board.

I think Moshiri moved quickly due to the other interested partys. Hes also got share options rather than buying all in one go. Could it be that the plan was to take up the option and then dilute his own so he and Usmanov are equal partners?

I can see Kroenke buying out Usmanov quite easily (even though strategically it wouldnt make sense like the esk says) because he would then have almost sole control of the club and it would be something he could pass down in totality like he said he wanted to do.

I think it will happen around the time Moshiri needs to take up the share option -- what was the date for that?

I can foresee some Chinese or Middle East money (where they want to offshore their money into something that will likely retain value: at Arsenal due to their stadium) but also to accept silent minority status. Much like the money that went into the Man City group from China.

However. I appreciate Esk's educated skepticism.

Zatara's point blank refusal then claim it won't happen under any circumstances is just silly. No mate. No.

Lads, this a thread about our new owner. Not the Russian billionaire who is the richest person to live in Britain.

I've reported quite a few of you for being off topic.

@bizzaro I expect better from you. On topic sir

We are discussing the potential for Moshiri business associate Usmanov to leave Arsenal like Moshiri and invest in Everton.

Along with Moshiri.

So pipe down. :coffee:
