Had he been impatient and was minded to invest in Everton, the sensible strategy would have been for Usmanov to sell his R&W shares to Moshiri and acquire a major interest in Everton himself, probably with a member of his team taking a position on the board and for Moshiri to follow upon disposing of R&W. That would have been the clear advice they would have received from their advisors.

Now that didn't happen, and it didn't not happen because they thought it was a better idea for Moshiri to come to Everton first. It didn't happen because I don't believe that's his intent.

Usmanov claims to be an Arsenal fan and Moshiri just seems to have been his mate and business partner without the attachment to the club that Usmanov has.

Usmanov wants his own club simple as, he could have bought the shares at Arsenal on his own without Moshiri, they obviously went in it together as a couple mates who enjoy Prem football and wanted to own their own club, so why would they not want to do that here?

I think Everton was a discussed escape plan from Arsenal for sometime, they had to move fast once the Americans were nailed on to buy the club, now Moshiri has his place at the table looking to buy even more shares, it is only a matter of Usmanov selling his shares and taking a stake in us with his mate, as they did at Arsenal but this time they will their own club.

Fox is a good mate of mine. If he's said something then I'm inclined to believe it as he's sauced from multiple angles mate.

For the reasons Esk laid out (better than I couldn't) I was of the same opinion that it was solo project of Moshiri. But if Fox says Usmanov is keen on joining then it would be as good as any inside info you're likely to get.

Least if a Uzbek/Russian owns us i may be able to actually get Everton merchandise here though, utter pisstake, bloke walked pass me the other day with a Leicester tshirt on, felt like slapping the muppet, now that is what i call a fast glory hunter
