The Usmanov scenario isn't even worth talking about whilst he remains a 30% stakeholder in Arsenal.

Should he ever makes moves to sell his stake then they're be reason to get the bunting out and start realistically expecting him to arrive at Goodison. However, that would going against everything he's said to this point.

Fair point.
The fact which really stood out to me was the comment that Kroenke has got a potentially competing billionaire stuck and unable to compete. If Kroenke was to buy the shares and allow him to then go to Everton, then not only does he have to buy those shares but Arsenal also then have to compete with another club to buy players. Plus Kroenke has control of Arsenal now, he can do what he wants without buying those shares.

I hope we do get him, but until then...

Usmanov is probably quite happy with his 30% knowing that he is pole position if ever Kroenke wants to sell. He is also not stuck, as you suggest, because besides selling to the obvious person, he could offer his approx 18,000 shares to the Arsenal supporters, who I'm sure would love to get a piece of their club (and an invite to the AGM's). It's a rich mans game and any outcomes are possible, the only truism is that both Kroenke and Usmanov will remain extremely wealthy.......

The sacking of an underperforming, unacceptable Manager? Never would have happened pre Moshiri.
The addition to the board of a director specialising in football finance (Alexander Ryazantsev)? Never would have happened pre Moshiri.
The finance therefore (magically??) in place for a new stadium as said by Mayor Anderson and looking at a Waterfront site? Pre Moshiri you are having a laugh.

Plenty happening behind the scenes mate.
Willing to bet this time next year we will be looking back smiling.

Thank you for answering in an adult fashion, I seemed to get into a silly debate with another.

The things you have written about the stadium are fantastic obviously, but like I said, until we see the commencement of anything, with this being Everton and all, I shall remain in the hopeful camp.

Sacking of the manager was obviously needed, but I would have preferred if they had somebody lined up first, as we are now in what seems an interview process and at the mercy of clubs with more to offer in footballing terms to keep managers from taking the position eg Emery.

I think there is a difference between somebody being skeptical and "wanting instant gratification" but GOT does have a way of people not taking things on board sensibly and having to put you into a category if you do not agree with others opinions.

Anyway, fingers crossed and this time next year Rodney!

The Rodney bit has gone over my head mate.

A real false dawn this, the fella hasn't even made a statement of his intentions.

Our wantaway striker didn't mention the fact he'll listen to the fella's plans for the club even though he has his heart set on leaving.

The fella didn't even say he'll do his best to secure our best players.

Oh.

Hadn't seen that, now I have, all I will say is that let's hope he lives up to his words.

Not here to argue Connor, I have an opinion and I may be a tad more reserved than you are. Try to remain from putting me into a category though with GOT cliches, it insults my intelligence.

We all want what's best for Everton. I am hoping this time next week we will have seen a real result on the manager front which would convince me that maybe things are starting to take shape.

Been told we are intending on purchasing Finch Farm asap and already bought the surrounding land next to parts of it for further development.

Heard that a few days after he took over, especially with his plans for a mini stadium and that.

Makes complete sense too.

Renting from the council is one of those poor moves he has to fix due to the previous board.
