I must stress, we dont even need Usmanov, his 13bn would be wasted considering the amount of FFP hoops there is to jump through.

Moshiri has more than enough money and business savvy to push us forward.

Only a foolish man spends his money on football clubs and Moshiri isnt foolish.

To be honest I was convinced Usmanov wasnt coming.

But ive heard very different, so theres 2 sources I trust, both saying the opposite thing, as I say, time will judge who was right and who was wrong, which isnt really fair, cos things change every second in football and business.

Funny thing is both could be right and likely are at the time they pass on the information mate, as ypou say the landscape changes and not everyone knows everything about whats going on in all departments within a club besides a very very small group of people

Considering the FFP exceptions for infrastructure, having Moshiri AND Usmanov could see us financing a stadium out of their pockets as soon as plans are finalized, no?

That would be a benefit.

It would certainly help with regards the stadium issue, yes.

But, even then, I couldnt see them spending "cash" on the new stadium personally, almost certain it would be bought with a loan, regardless of the owners. Not many people will spunk out 400m for the LOLs.

Well it wouldn't be for the LOLs though would it? They could also arrange one of those "gift loans" at 0% so that they're paid out the value of the investment later. I just suggest this because surely investing cash from the ownership is a far simpler process than the hassle of dealing with banks or possible new share option releases. If they were both on board and they had the liquid capital then why not? They could either do the 0% loan or tack it onto the balance sheet and make their investment back upon sales of their interest.

The quicker the spades go in the ground the quicker arses go into seats and the revenue goes up and the club's valuation with it.

I'm keeping an open mind on this Usmanov thing.

As the esk has pointed out, if his intention is to come to Everton then he's going about it in a very strange way and most signs suggest he wants to stay with Arsenal.

But surely he must be sick of the stranglehold Kroenke has on Arsenal, a stranglehold he shows no sign of loosening. Usmanov clearly wants a say in that club as shown in the letter from himself and Moshiri. But is he ever going to get a say?

Yeah of course, I did say it would help a lot, but clearly I was being foolish with regards the LOLs statement.

No, he will never get a say.

So is he :

1. Happy to watch his investment grow and "supporting" his team
2. Getting itchy feet and wanting to call the shots and spunk some money

He's going to be making money as things stand but the R&W letter makes it clear that is not solely what he is looking for in return for his ownership investment.

@The Esk has said there is no way Kroenke allows Usmanov to walk away and set up shop in another club to compete against him. Maybe Esk can shine a light on how that's possible, because I don't understand how Usmanov could be prevented from doing that if he chose to? If Kroenke doesn't want to buy Usmanov's shares what is stop him offering them to the public market?

Will try to step into the mans shoes, then find he has replied already!

In essence, the R&W shares could be sold to anyone. But other than a small army of rich supporters buying them all, which could take ages, why would an investor(s) splurge a ton of cash on 30% of a company with zero influence? It makes little sense to invest gazillions then leave all the decisions to someone else.

But I am sure Esk will explain that better and more accurately than me.
