Why would anyone buy 30% of a company owned by an autocrat and at the same time give Usmanov the freedom to build a competitor to Arsenal. You just do not allow a potential competitor that ability to compete.
There's 5 or 6 board rooms in the PL who must give thanks to Kroenke every night for locking Usmanov into a position of no influence or power. No investor in Arsenal is going to release the bird from the cage to build a competitor.
Well to Kroenke for 1, I know, or rather I should say, Usmanov strikes me as a man that doesnt like to admit defeat, but he could sell up to kroenke with the belief that hes gonna build a team that challenges his top 4 position.
To investors for another, people buy shares all the time, buying shares in Arsenal seems a low risk high reward option currently, from the outside, nothing like the growth that Usmanov has gained or even somebody like Bill/Earl.
He doesnt even need to sell the shares as a 30% block, he could just simply list the shares and surely people would buy them?
