I'm starting to wonder how Barkley would fit in under a manager who demands hard work off the ball.

Like he did in a few seasons ago under Martinez when he was demanded to work off the ball and he pressed like all hell, only this time around he's more mature and has a bit more to his game.

Fair enough. He has been bad at the RS, but at villa he had a few good seasons. Didn't he he have 2 seasons where he scored 19 league goals?.

Hes the type of player that needs confidence... only get that by playing games... hes not had that at rs. Give him a decent run in the team and he will get you a good goals to games ratio

Always felt he was in a bit of a purple patch there, though I guess @-wizard- is right in saying he is a confidence player and as such maybe things could be different. Ultimately though not sure if Liverpool would sell at a reasonable price to us.
