With Emery you also have to bear in mind that he's achieved these results whilst handling a constant stream of important first teamers leaving the club - Bacca and Vidal this season; Rakitic, Moreno and Fazio last season; Negredo, Navas, Kondogbia, Medel in 13/14. He's managed to constantly replace those players for around £70m less than they sold for in total for his time there. 3 Europa League titles and a consistent challenge for champions league placing is pretty damn impressive all things considered and it was exactly the same at Valencia where they were really a crisis club for a while, in 2010/11 alone he had to contend with losing the hugely important David Villa and David Silva and then only being given a fraction of their transfer fee to replace them, and he still managed to finish 3rd that season and both seasons either side of it. He's proven himself to be very capable of consistently getting results, of coming out on top in big/important matches and has proven very capable of being flexible in the face of changing circumstances in his team. The guy's a born winner and I think he'd be a fantastic hire.

I mean he's probably made it to my top 4 list purely on the UEFA cups.

Still preferring the Dutch options at the moment.

Not koeman i hope.

Koeman would have relegated valencia after they had finished 3rd in the season before....fans hated him...players hated him so much the captain took out a lawsuit against him..emery saved them.

He just done something nobody else has done.

I reckon he wants to try for number 4.

Hes 44 years old, hes got plenty of time to make money, but only at Sevilla can he make history.

Would trying for number 4 not mean that he'd have to perform quite poorly in the CL? Or do you mean 4 European cups in a row (not 4 europa/uefa cups)?

Southampton fans love him though..... And he hasn't done too badly there.

Why would his target be his 4th UEFA cup on a row when he is in the champs league?

Also, apparently spamming twitter with EFC stuff to Moshiri's daughter will get you blocked, at least someone (2) did today.

Let's keep it sane!

p.s. looks like I got away with a quick tweet of #JustHireEmery a few days ago! hopefully more good news to come!
He's one of the best managers in Europe, and I think it may cost us more than five million a year for us to attract him.
you mean what we paid Moyes?

Why are people so obsessed with how Koeman did at Valencia?

It was literally ages ago.
