Why am I not sold on this guy yet?

Boss UEFA cup runs aside. What else makes him great?

Sell him to me.
the fact he can win trophies against a good calibre of opponents whilst still doing well in the league.

winning 3 trophies on the trot should be enough anyway like.

Saved valencia when they were in the biggest crisis of their history, done well with his transfers at every club he's been at.

I mean he's probably made it to my top 4 list purely on the UEFA cups.

Still preferring the Dutch options at the moment.

he blasts both of them out of the water for me, certainly koeman who absolutely destroyed valencia (club similar to us i'd say) and hasn't really got a impressive cv aside from southampton.

The more I read about Emrey the more I think he is the ideal candidate for us. The worry is that other clubs are thinking exactly the same thing.

That result on Wednesday night would have turned heads across Europe, not just ours.

But after the Utd job, you would think ours is the most attractive vacancy in the Premier League.

I'm hoping that now Mourinho isn't happening we have turned our focus elsewhere and will progress things quickly. It makes sense for things to happen now as Sevilla were in the Europa League and Copa Del Rey Finals.

Can't see any reason good reason would come here

Unless he goes to a title-challenging team in one of the top 5 European leagues, I can see it. Sevilla would never win the league while Barca and Real maintain their La Liga hegemony, he's already had CL with Sevilla. If he stays there, what's the aim? Slightly better league position and win the EL again?

I'd say the challenge of proving himself in the Premier League, along with the riches that come with a PL club contract would be an exciting draw.

He looks like Jack from on the buses.

Depends. I like both Koeman's and De Boer's upbringing and playing careers which will steep them in the winning mentality a bit. Although a good playing career is obviously not the be all and end all.

There's pros and cons to everyone I suppose.

I've just looked at Emery's career. Woeful playing. Can get over that of course.
Decent to a point management before Sevilla.

Guess I'm just into Dutch things at the moment.

He's one of the best managers in Europe, and I think it may cost us more than five million a year for us to attract him.
