It's plausible to an extent but highly unlikely in my opinion.

Why would R&W selling 30.4% of Arsenal (under 100% ownership of Usmanov) be any more attractive than R&W selling 30.4% of Arsenal (under shared ownership of Usmanov/Moshiri) ?

Moshiri had been talking to Bill for 18 months before acquiring shares - if Usmanov had any interest in moving away from Arsenal to Everton then he/they would have arranged the disposal of their Arsenal shares at the same time and jointly acquired Everton shares.

Moshiri selling his Arsenal interest to Usmanov, and acquiring an interest with an option for a controlling interest in Everton has to be viewed as a conscious decision by both individually to increase their exposure to the Premier League - something which they could not do at Arsenal because they were blocked by Kroenke.

As the deal worked out Usmanov increases (doubles) his exposure to £400 million and Moshiri increases his exposure through the initial purchase of 49.9% of Everton, the options agreement, and the commitment to funding the team and stadium developments.

It would be highly unusual for Moshiri to reduce his exposure by allowing Usmanov into his Everton investment.

I've been consistent in this belief since day one, and I've not seen or heard any indication from any credible source that Usmanov will sell his Arsenal holdings to join Moshiri.

If I'm wrong I'll hold my hand up, but I'm pretty certain I am not.

I don't think you're wrong at all. I think everything you've said to date is based on the facts available. Any suggestion of Usmanov joining Moshiri at Everton has so far been speculation that is based upon their business relationship. An ITK saying it's on has got people excited but I think it's right to a) wait and see, and b) be thoroughly happy that we've got Moshiri on board. Obviously Usmanov coming would be a serious game changer and that's what is getting people excited.

If (big if) there was ever a strategy for Usmanov to come to Everton, Moshiri selling his R&W shares to Usmanov, rather than the other way around, keeps the main player at Arsenal in a strong position to sit tight for long as necessary to extract the best value out of any future share sale. Despite his statements to the contrary, Usmanov doesn't strike me as the type of guy who would be happy sitting around indefinitely if Kroenke won't budge.

Whatever happens, these are incredibly interesting times to be a blue.

With all due respect to everybody, Moshiri circulates in such a rarefied atmosphere that no fan or fan base will get anywhere near himself, his friends or acquaintances.

But to suggest the ordinary fans like ourselves are party to Moshiri and his advisors is also probably fanciful speculation also.

That is undoubtedly true.

These people have a support staff numbered by the dozen however and it is quite possible that an ITK is hearing snippets of what is happening behind the scenes from secretaries who type up agenda for or minutes off the meetings they hold to discuss their plans, from drivers ferrying them around, from factotums looking into the viability of our club, from waiters pouring their wine at lunch, even from the bevy of beautiful women such high powered men attract in their wake :)

It might not all be pie in the sky, Bonzo ;)

Or information that Mr Moshiri or his 'people' want leaked of course ;)

If correct I suppose it means he will become majority shareholder... so maybe the other 50.1%... it's purely speculation at this point. Although it's worth mentioning that that guy who dropped the Usmanov bomb has been right in the past with all of his ITK information that I have seen. He called Martinez sacking early in the morning before SSN and others by just writing "he's gone". Think it was around 8am that day. Like I said Ive seen he's called other things too all of which were 100%. We'll just have to wait and see I guess. Either way we are already in a fantastic position with Moshiri, Usmanov coming would just be the icing on the cake...

Have to say we had a pretty good idea that Roberto was getting sacked that morning. But would be amazing if we were getting Usmanov as well.

Thought I'd point out something seemingly relevant to the Usmanov rumours. It appears Bill courted Moshiri for 18 months and the question is why wouldn't the Russian buy in during this period if he was really interested in EFC?
What maybe forgotten is that Moshiri himself needed a final push to commit. The Americans were clear favourites, at one stage, having been granted a period of exclusivity. I speculate that Bill was using them to leverage Moshiri to finally commit to the planned investment.
I wouldn't, therefore, take the fact that Uzmanov didn't come in during this period of courtship as compelling evidence that he 's not planning to come in at some point in future.

Now I'm a bit confused on @The Esk 's comments on this has Esk actually stated that he's been told Usmanov won't be coming or is it a case that Esk hasn't been told anything on him so there's no reason for him to believe or back the the rumor, is that correct?

Whats the panic, he may come but more then likely wont.

I dont see what the big deal is, we are well positiioned to progress on imediate issues - attract a new boss, be competitive in the transfer window, the long term peice: stadium, commercial revenue, merchandising infrastructure will all still be there if he is going to come on board, i think logic is still on the side of not after reading better educated opinions then mine.
