Is he the highest rated? I imagine out of him, Ledson, Walsh, Grant, Williams that one or two will go on loan. As they're all centre mids aren't they?

I think his last two appearances have pushed him to the top of the pecking order. He has developed massively over the last 18 months.
In terms of style he is far more of an allrounder than Ledson. He looks a bit stockier too and is ore skilful on the ball. Ledson has a better passing range and probably a bit taller and (at youth ages) had a bit more presence about him. He was a bit more like Gerrard when he first broke through as a defensive midfield player.
It will be interesting to see how next season goes with our young central midfield players. Who goes out on loan and who trains with the first team squad. A great problem to have!

osman's been a bit part player this season, imo dowell could easily step up and replace his role next season. I would still love us to sign a fluid playmaker for big money though and then get barkley a bit deeper running at teams all day. i don't think we need to bother with a 2 DM as our default formation, we have the potential to outscore most teams in this league - why not play that way, let them worry about a mass of attacking options rather than them worry about us.
i thought martinez would have us set up brilliantly to control and dominate games for years, it's what swansea have been doing ever since he took over there, regardless of what division they've been in. But as we saw today we have a squad already with the ability of just mixing every wave of attack up - and that's before we've gone all out on our spending spree.
Should loan him and Dowell to the same club next season and let them develop together. Build on that connection they have.

Signed his first pro deal last summer, two year contract but presume it will get reviewed after he turns 18.
