Did he? Seems then Mr Moshiri is fast tracking things. Not guaranteed he will be that billionaire you are wishing for though. May be just one of his people with expertise in something/anything the current lot are lacking...

Esk mentioned that the new board member coming in won't be investing any money in the club.

He's an employee of Moshiri

Lad with the Russian name.
That's not Alexander Ryazantsev in the picture.

Totally agree with that article.

The person is wearing an EFC Tie. Is probably someone on EFC staff.

The other person with moshing is his proxy on the board.

Which part of no such thing as a proxy director confuses you?

He's an employee of Moshiri

Seen his contract of employment - does Mr Moshiri have a PAYE account set up in the UK or it's equivalent anywhere? If yes, please spill the beans, if no, he can't employ anyone personally unless he pays them less than about 5k a year (in the UK)

Yes there is.

Moshiri can take care of his interests by delegating his board position by proxy to Ryazantsev.

Given that I'm a venture capital investor I have a proxy on every board of every company I'm invested in. My co-investor (through a joint investment vehicle) on my behalf as my proxy.

So I understand it very well.

I'm UK domiciled. I can still work anywhere in the world as a consultant without paying PAYE in that country. Since my tax affairs are UK based.

Same for Ryazantsev except the reverse. He probably has a management consultant contract with an entity in Monaco or similar.

So pipe down :coffee:

So a venture capital investor as well as working in the legal profession.

There is no such thing as a proxy director as a proxy is to all intents and purposes a very limited power of attorney. (Proxies may be given with regards to votes etc). Even in offshore jurisdictions, nominee directors exist but not proxies.

You're UK resident and domiciled so your tax bill is on worldwide income - you may get DTR if applicable, but your income is taxable in the UK.

I'll pipe down when you desist from talking rubbish - simple as.
