When you look at it what have we got in the way of strikers

Saha - Best striker at EFC for years but wont stay fit for 10 games on the trot

Yak - Doesnt look bothered, if he doesnt improve by the end of the season can see him being sold

Jo - Rubbish

Vauhgan - Crock

Anichebe - Probably is our second best striker at the mo, but injured

Think we could do with a good one in January, Is that likely???

Missed the 1st half of this Villa/Spurs game, but the 2nd is a cracker.

i'd forgotten all about espn, i was looking for France v New Zealand. it's on after this. should be a cracker, France are a team that when it clicks they destroy the all blacks with proper running rugby, they've done them loads of times and in n.z. as well, it usually takes a big game from the a.b.'s to beat them, so as i say, it should be a cracker.

Just watching the Sky Soccer Sat previews, and Le Tissier, Merson, Walsh and Nicholas all said an awful lot of sense.

Effort
They basically covered the current situation with the players not putting their all in, and that Moyes had quite rightly publically had a pop.

Yakubu and Cahill were two apparently, and I agree with them - those 2 need to do more. Yak is fit now but you wouldn't know it. Cahill has 1 goal all season in the league and that is low by his standards.

Merson actually said that Cahill is the 3rd best player at arriving late in the box to score goals - and he said when he is not doing that, what else does he give to the team? And he's right - he offers very little else.

Injuries?
Jeff Sterling asked the question about injuries and can they still use it as an excuse. Well I don't think it can be as I have already stated - but it's definitely a factor, as Charlie Nicholas stated that Liverpool have been using it as an excuse all season, even though they have only lost 2 of the best players.

Moyes
Would he go? Where would he go? Could he go to a club with more potential?

Le Tiss said that no top 4 club would take him as he's not proving, and that there isn't a bigger club that he could go to that isn't Everton. Not sure if it was a compliment or not.

Investment
All of the panel seemed to agree that Everton are at the moment the most likely of clubs to be taken over and have funds invested into the club. Potentially they are more attractive, and Le Tiss, who walks in those circles seems to think that an investment is likely.

Relegation
No chance was the general feeling.

Normally I don't listen to these guys, especially when Big Nose is around, but today they actually made some good points.

So, whats your point?

I just wondered what your point was. No need to be sorry.

Ok, fair enough. I thought you were having a go.

I didn't really have a point. The point was to let people know what non-Evertonians were saying about Everton - which I always find interesting.

You take emotion out of an equation and you see things differently.

I just remembered also that they had a pop at the board and how they give Moyes sod all and expect him to sell to bring in players. Although it's not great to think about, it is comforting to see that ex-players sympathise with out predicament.

Merson also adding that he thought Everton was always a club he would have liked to have gone to as a kid. Which was obviously because we were ace when he was young.
