My neighbour who writes for the footy section of the
He´s not giving up more delusional stuff in the echo:

“There is 12 points to play for,” he said.

“I feel we are a special football club.

“I draw inspiration from big, big figures from our football club and no-one more than Howard Kendall who always said as a football club we react in the best possible way. “Facing adversity today our second-half performance is exactly that.

“We all feel hurt and disappointed we are not in the final but we gave everything we have got and we should all help each other finish the season as well as we can.

“We are not in a situation of crisis or chaos, fighting relegation.

“We are talking of disappointment because we have not the chance to finish high in the table. But we see young players developing quickly and understanding the big expectations to be a team that always competes in the late stages of competitions and always competes to get to Wembley. We want to get to the CL positions.”

Surely someone in the press office at the club vets what he says before it goes out ?

In the last two days he's mentioned lack of funding for transfers, had a dig at Moyes and has also brought Howard Kendal into his ramblings. The press must rub their hands together every time he opens his mouth.

As well as making a fool of himself, he's embarrassing the club now. They need to stop him talking to the press or thoroughly vet what he says before it goes out.

OR

They are letting him continue to chat loads of wham, so as to increase the pressure on him to resign ?

"If I had been given 10 years to work with Everton by being mediocre I would not accept that." 23 April 2016

"With time you can achieve anything,..... we do have an incredible platform that David Moyes has created." 6 June 2013

Comments of a man who has dug his own grave and trying to blame everyone bar himself. Surprised he hasn't blamed us for it

*edit* oh wait, he has

That's a pretty despicable slur on Moyes that. In a popularity poll right now (based on general feeling across entire tenure), I think Moyes would be a clear winner.

We're truely through the looking glass now ladies and Gentleman.

-10 years of Top Half finishes under Moyes is mediocre but two years of bottom half finishes is "signs of progress"
-Spending £45 million on strikers alone is "Nothing"
-A spirited Second Half against the poorest United side in years means Martinez is basically Kendall
-No wins in the league since February but we're defiantly not in a crisis

Interesting stats. No wins in 60 days, longest run in 20 years.

We have won as many games in the cup as we have in the league.

our statts for the season as a whole are complelty dismall. this situation hasnt just happened. since his first season in charge we have slowly lapsed in to relegation fodder. we will proably stay up. had villa performed to their usual premier league standards then we would be in a whole lot of bother. thank fully there will be 3 maybe 4 worse footballing teams than us this year.

Those are the comments of a crazy, wounded animal fighting for its life. A wild, punch-drunk defensive strategy that has no basis in reality. This man is only going to get wierder and more aggressive in the death throws of his doomed tenure.

Look.............. we are fickle as fans..... as they are as managers....................... Nobody gives a Fiddlers FFFFK................ They will get another Pay Day....... we will have to wait for our next Pay Day............ to see if we can afford a ticket ...or pay to watch them in places a long way a way.

Yet there's STILL people who back Martinez throughout all this, I'm convinced it's through some ridiculous hatred of Moyes and not being big enough to admit we've taken a step backwards since he left.

It's not a case of having one more year with Martinez and if it doesn't work out again that's alright. It's clear for all to see where this project of his is going. We need to get shut now whilst the damage is minimal.
