'Organise a defence'????!!!

Terrible shout. One place above us in the league, conceded 4 in each of their last 3 games.

Pulis organised Stoke's defence better than him, and I wouldn't want Pulis either.

Let's SHOW SOME AMBITION and go for a proven top European manager and not journeyman failures and 'promising might-bes'.

That tit Durham on TS nailed it for me when he talked about England Rugby Union looking for a new man after the World cup

Start with the best manager in the sport, Approach him, If he rejects work down the list until you get the best available

Oh dear, take a sit down and think what you have just posted. The guy is an absolute cretin, ex-player maybe but one who only come here for one final payday and simply went through the motions. Terrible awful manager and not a nice guy .

and failed badly when given money. roque santa cruz anyone?!

Benitez - proven history of taking over teams and ensuring they go backwards in the league. Has occasionally won trophy to paper over the cracks but almost always alienates himself from the players and board at every club he goes to.

Hughes - Only seems a half capable manager because he temporarily had Stoke playing decent football after years of Pulis-ball. Doing anything of merit was always going to be seen as reputation salvaging. This bolster to his reputation was exacerbated by the absolute disaster of his time at QPR.

Names like these even being mentioned is a joke. There's a world of football managers out there but some can't seem to see beyond those who have already been on the merry-go-round of the Prem.

people laughed at the idea of klopp going to liverpool but fenway went for the best manager available .moshiri should sell the club and vision of what he wants to acheive to the best managers out there

Throwing it out there I wouldn't mind Mark Hughes, former player who knows the club and has done a decent job at Stoke. Plays good football and can organise a defence
Former player lollollol

Remembered for scoring one goal against a Watford side everyone was tonking and missing a sitter in the derby........

No chance we'll hear anything. I said it the other day, I reckon BK will have accepted Martinez has to go, but he'll have a word with Moshiri to let Martinez see the season out, then there will be a statement released saying Martinez will be going, and it was by mutual consent, that way saving Martinez some face.

100% this. I think (hope!) that he won't be here next season, but I think this above is how it will play out.
I think the whole manager merry go round could be delayed by the Euros, though if a manager is already scheduled to leave their team after the tournament, they could accept a job now, like LVG did.
If he does stay til the end of the season, it needs announcing at the final whistle of the last game so we can get actively, openly, recruiting.

I really like the rugby point made about go to the top and if it's a no, work your way down the list. I guess it depends where we are in the scheme of things now, Lerner and Abromavich are both billionaires. Until there's money on the table we don't actually know how of a player we are regarding transfers etc.

unfortunately we have a chairman who wants his friend to manage the club and he won't sack a friend because he doesnt want to sour his relationship with his friends. we might have the most passionate chairman in the prem (arguable) but he's also the weakest and he's too weak to wield the axe.

We will be doing a villa next season and martinez will still be here
