He said at the start of the week that these two games were defining.

Played 2
Wins 0
Goals for 1 (og)
Goals against 5

135 minutes out of 180 awful football.

Players unfit

Bye Bobby, don't let the door smack you on your arse on the way out

Does anyone really think he will go of his own volition?

I'm dreading Martinez will go on to point to what might have beens (if only the penalty had gone in), a positive second-half performance, spout his usual 'we are on the right track' rhetoric and say we were unfortunate to lose to an injury-time goal (a staple of his tenure) and say the luck hasn't been on our side all season.

This will earn brownie points with family-man, lets not rock the boat Bill and in true Johnny Logan-esque fashion, there will be 'What's another year'!

Its perhaps the worst of both worlds today, we are (narrowly) out of the cup and as a result, could we be possibly stuck with brown-shoe Bobby?

The (founded) worry is that our board doesn't have the nerve to actually step up and make a decision. Much like Jagielka and Stones at times.

We have been doing the same things, week-in, week-out and nothing changes. Its now or never really if the board are serious.

Ideally he should take his leave himself and depart the scene with some good grace and chalk it up to a failed experiment. But we are never that lucky, are we?

Really? I think it highlighted the huge problem that even if we play well we can't get a result. Game management is atrocious
Not at all, what odds on rom missing what 3 big chances and a pen? Can't blame Martinez for that. First half we were second best but still could of had a couple of goals, second half we completely owned United, and if there's one thing we are normally good at its taking chances. Today it let us down.

Good God.

I mean... wow.

To be fair he's right, we've been developing like a photo in a dark room except someone has let a flare off and ruined it. Hope the board takes this as insubordination and leaves him at Watford Gap services with his P45

I don't think you fail to pick up as many points as we have when we've dominated games without something being wrong.

It's a terrible habit to have, play well and still not win.

I'd like to see duncan get the job til the end of the season, he can have his time in the sunshine when it doens t matter a jot but we can all go and have a sing in the sunshine with him, then a proper manager on the evening at the end of the season. Havent got a clue who

Duncan would look stunning in a nice suit on the touchline ;)

He has been awful for a couple of season, and tbh I thought we got lucky a lot the first season too, but the second half today was anything but. Sadly what we do best deserted us today.
