I don't think the star would get an exclusive like that anyway. But if that is true, it just says he'll tell the board what he wants to do with the team and they'll decide once the season is over.

Whether we win the cup is irrelevant at this point. That kind of thing is what you look at when a manager is under performing by a couple of places consistently in the league. We're about 6 places below where we should be.
personally mate i completely agree, cup results should be irrelevant.

But just a feeling i've got whilst bill is still luvvying it about, and until moshiri gets his feet under the table is that cup win will give him longer.

Wouldnt be shocked at all if the board back him, they have no ambition and in my eyes if he's given next season the new fella is another Ashley/Short/Lerner etc. And happy for us to merely exist in the league so long as we avoid relegation and rake in the TV cash. Ironically those 3 clubs will most likely be going down this year (something I fully expect us to be battling next season with this clown still in charge minus Lukaku).

Barkley made one mistake in the opening game of the season, got relegated to the reserves, and then played again around Christmas, off the bench once or twice, then on loan at Wednesday or something.

Moyes had the time to play him, he just didn't.

Martinez has given reasonable prospects game time though, do you think Browning would've even played a minute at right back under Moyes? Probably as a left winger at some point for 10 minutes, and Stones would have about 3 starts, all at right back, and we'd say he's crap. Moyes' policy was safety first, remember?
Martinez gave Browning game time because it was obvious to all and sundry that Stones couldn´t play right back and he hadn´t signed any reserve right back. This thing about Martinez and young players is one of the biggest myths in football. He´s played two players who are generally regarded as among the biggest talents of their generation, both are England internationals and were already in the first team squad when he arrived. Do people really think that if Bobby hadn´t turned up that they weren´t going to develop as players? Beyond that he´s given practically no opportunities to our young players in three years. Meanwhile Van Gaal has played a huge number of youth players and Klopp who´s been at Liverpool for five minutes played two youth team players against Stoke the other day. That´s taking a chance on youth the rest is just his absurd propaganda about this being a young team when it blatantly isn´t.
I think fans could stomach Martinez a lot more if he didn´t keep coming out with these blatant falsehoods.

...don't think the MOSH would be overly arsed about the TV money mate, nor merely 'existing' in the league...with the level of wealth he's amassed thus far then I doubt he's in it as a 'spinner'.

Give him a chance...view him as the Ninja on the roof, watching, biding his time, making sure...

ETC.

Mike Ashley is wealthier than Moshiri mate but still appointed utter crap like Mclaren. I've been of the opinion for a while now that he'll get next season and will most likely be sacked at the end of it if we are near the relegation places or kept on if we are around 10-14th. I hope that article is wrong but I'll be shocked if he's not manager come the first game of next season.
