Moyes had the time to play him, he just didn't.

Martinez has given reasonable prospects game time though, do you think Browning would've even played a minute at right back under Moyes? Probably as a left winger at some point for 10 minutes, and Stones would have about 3 starts, all at right back, and we'd say he's crap. Moyes' policy was safety first, remember?

I preferred the moyes approach of protecting young players to the way Martinez handled the stones situation and left him on the pitch draining his confidence when he was clearly out of form

Who has he given time to.

Galloway was played out of necessity and dropped once Oviedo and Baines came back

Alcatraz and Distin were favoured over stones who played so much last season because Distin had lost it and Bobby hadn't signed cover. If Distin had still been doing it Stones would have been on the bench

Lukaku cost 28m was hardly not going to start

If you think Barkley wouldn't have played under any manager you're crazy

Del was loaned/bought to play

No one else has had any significant game time

This is all correct tbh. Galloway appears to have fallen off a cliff despite Oviedo and Baines playing crap for ages
 
I find it hard to believe that Bobby said all of that to the fan. He's never once (that I remember) done this previously so why would it suddenly change?

Galloway did just happen out of necessity, but he remained in the team when Baines was fit again, for a few games, which is more you could expect from a young player really.

Stones I agree with, but he's given Browning a run in the team (mainly due to failing to sign cover again), shame lad got badly injured, which is just classic Everton.

Moyes protected players so much so that they played one game, made a really simple mistake and never played again. I agree with you on the previous points though, Martinez's "give him time, regardless of form" is also a stupid approach. Ideally, AGAIN, you'd have the midpoint between them. Barkley would've never started as many games under Moyes though, and he'd probably be playing as a winger anyway.

“Remember that we are not talking about a bad team here, or a team that doesn’t perform. We are talking about a team that performs really well away from home, yet doesn’t get the results at home.

“That doesn’t suggest the relationship between the manager and the players is wrong.

"We are talking about a very specific area – we don’t get results at home. We get them away from home.”

Don't want us to lose tomorrow, but certainly in a bit of a dilemma over which game to keep the closest eye on. Our match or the United/ whammers one? The latter will surely have more of an impact on our season than the former. Probably will be a little more interesting, and less painful too.
