Winning the second division then the first division on successive seasons?!

Think I'd disagree to be honest.
didn't Nottingham Forest do something similar?...and win the European Cup

Uhmm, lets not forget Everton, who did exactly that. 1929-30 we finished last and relegated. 1930-31 we finished 2nd Division champions, then in 1931-32 1st Division champions.

*Edit.....bugger....someone already covered it. Ahh well..........

How so? And that's not a loaded question. Just wondering.
I know you've said you had disagreed with this in the past, but Leicester winning the Premier League shows the monopoly can be broken.

Apart from Blackburn back in 1994 (and even they had money to be fair), it's been almost predictable who'll challenge for the top four.

If you had money then you'd win the league: simple, Now we've got hard-working and youthful squads really mixing up the status quo.

Yes it's disheartening that it's not Everton taking advantage of this season, however it shows that with a good manager we could challenge.

It's also nice to see the likes of Arsenal, Manure, Citeth and Chelski eventually being fallible. Probably won't continue next year but let's hope...

I think the fact we were also 1st division champions in 1927-28 makes that less impressive and more embarassing.

It's less a team coming from nowhere to win the title and more a really good team somehow managing to come last despite having dixie bloody dean up front.
