He is, he ain't soft he knows a fluke win at the pit would keep him in the job in the eyes of our luvvy chairman and some of our fan base. It's how small time we have actually become over the years.

To be fair, a win at the pit would make most the fans happy and then a win at the semi and the pressure off the question is he good enough to pull this off?

Win at Anfield with this lot in the form/mood there in 3 days before a semi final where they will be worried about picking up an injury

Hahahahahahahahahahaha jog on

It depends on what Bill thinks this club shall be achieving in the league. 11th last season 14th for now will he wave the axe? This club is losing million of pounds each season cos of crap league position.

I'll answer in here because it's more Martinez than Moshiri.

I don't think the board will be massively concerned about the prize money. If they were to think it was part of a rebuilding process and we had to regress to give ourselves a better chance of long term success then that would be seen as acceptable.

However, I don't think they'll think that is the case, so they'll take some action, if not this summer, then any sniff of another poor season early 2016/17 and a change will be made.

His record in derbies isn't particularly spectacular when we've been playing well, so against an arguably in form Liverpool I'm far from confident.

As @Darth Vader mentioned as well, they'll have their minds (and bodies) on the semi-final thus I can't expect to see an exuberant performance.

We were talking about resting players for the semi just a few weeks ago as well; now that'd not be far off putting the noose around his own neck.

But hey it's a bit early to be talking about out game in the shed over the park yet. We need to face Palace and Southampton first...

If Martinez wins the FA Cup I know BK will not boot him out of the club but shall a club win warrent him a longer time in charge based on the league form? Are we prepared to endure yet another season like the current campaign?

Unlike some pro Martinez posters I don't buy the captioned idea at all. It's likely our two blightest talents in Lukaku and Stones are gone this summer. This will give the pro lads further excuse if Martinez continues to execute the regression mode next season. Their argument might be similar to this - we are rebuilding our initial rebuilding programme as the two talents have left half way through. It will take times as we are building Roma.

New empty words continue to cover up the past empty words.

I also don't see why regression will give ourselves a better chance of long term success automatically. In fact, regression will weaken the mentality of the club as a whole. When fans accept midtable position perhaps all the work of Moyes is undone at once. Personally Everton are a top 6 PL club. It is marked by the league positions from Moyes's tenure up to the 72 points trophy season.

There will be no sacking prior to season end unless the current run continues in defeats and puts the board in an untenable position - however he will definitely be in charge for the semi. RM will as with standard practice be present at an in depth review of the season both in results and related business position - this within a week of the last game, it's here he will face real pressure from our new board members. Without question he is under serious pressure.

For my sins, I had a dream last night that I was on the Everton board, and when I was asked 'Martinez: Is he in or out?', I responded with the 'cut throat' sign.

Spot on.
I suspect dave is just biding his time, and will wait for us to win the semi, at which point he'll reappear with a smug "told you so" look on his avatar.
I think he is busy trying to get the egg of his face now we are sat in 14th and Leicester are on the verge of winning the title. How wrong can one man be. P.S. With that avatar you won't see the egg anyway

Are Evertonians that shallow now? Winning the Derby means people will forget how bad the season is? Do you think kopites will really care about winning the game? Us it is just another league game, thats all. So if we win it, it's three points we win, not a big trophy thst crowns us King of Merseyside
