One hundred percent this...
We have nothing to lose if El Bob is dismissed tonight/tomorrow or Monday.
We're not going to be relegated.
But equally, and it galls me to say this, but right now the Derby and semi outcomes are not looking favourable.
Big Joe, together with maybe DF/DU might, just might pull a rabbit of biblical proportions out of a hat.

They will at least send out a pumped up, passionate set of players, Block.....that's for sure.

Yes, but you said he wouldn't be "allowed" to sack him.

That bloke can do what hope wants to do at EFC.

But I will tell you something for nothing, Aaron.

We do not have a cat in hell's chance in that semi under the current regime.

If Bobby and that waste of space assistant are still there, we are toast, pal
The only team who have progressed in the fa cup semis and went on to win despite dire league form is Wigan from memory. And the common denominator is?

The fact that there are a number of supporters that would take losing the semifinal if it guaranteed that Roberto was no longer in charge says it all really.

I do not know for a fact that people on here would want to see us loose the semi-final just to get rid of the manager. I want to get rid of the manager became we can't win games.
I want Everton to win the FA Cup because I want success for my club, I want Martinez to leave for the same reason.
We play Man Utd who are 5th in the table, or we play West Ham who are sixth, we are 14th and dropping like a stone. If I was a Man U or West Ham fan and I could pick any of the semi finalists to play, I would pick us.
I will be very happy if we make the final but I will be amazed.

Total realism folks, not pessimism.
I agree wholeheartedly, but I'll be at Wembley shouting and singing my head off and I hope every other Evertonian does likewise.
Irrespective of our feelings towards El Bob, this is OUR CLUB going to Wembley aiming for a place in the FA Cup Final... get behind the team cos they're gonna need us like they've never needed us before !!!

Well pundits have spent a long time suggesting the semi finals have effected all those involved. I've not heard him give any more credence to this than anyone else but it isn't just some invention of his.

It's just yet another one of the myriad of meaningless excuses he comes out with. I'm pretty sure the players don't run round all game thinking " I can't be arsed today, as I'm saving my self for the cup semi " ffs.

Just read some of Roberto' s post match comments. He sais "On another day we would have scored a winner", what other day ? We don't score winners.
He seems to be putting our poor league form down to the FA Cup semi-final, we've been poor for two of the three years he has been here. Show a bit of moral fortitude and resign, you are out of your depth.

I liked the part where he used our home form and our cup run and the excuse for todays away league shambles....

I can't believe the powers that be are allowing this to continue, he's got to go, now, the season has gone by with a whimper, I'm not too confident about the semi, at least knowing he won't be in charge next year might lift the mood amongst Evertonians and the players

This is just painful at the minute

Interesting that there seems to be shift in opinion tonight, in terms of the majority are now talking about when the sacking will happen, not if.

I honestly want to shake Roberto and tell him his stubborn arrogance simply isn't going to work here, we aren't going to meander into the Championship whilst trying to play the right way, just like Wigan did.

Ideally for me, we win the cup, he then walks away in the summer, think most Evertonian's would appreciate ending our trophy drought and his tenure wouldn't be completely soured.

I don't want to see anyone sacked, but my sympathy is limited as he's obviously going to get a nice pay off when it does happen.

I make him right on that one, oddly enough.

Used to be a team qualified for the semi final and got on with their business in the meantime.

They never lost focus until they won the semi and the Twin Towers hovered into view.

Now, as a result of playing the blasted things at Wembley, they are all dazzled with the prospect of "going to Wembley" and it is showing in the lethargic nature of semi final bound teams in safe mid-table positions.

I bet our game at Palace this midweek is a carbon copy of today's bore fest.
