I remember reading somewhere ages ago that when the "Moyes Out" banner was flown over Old Trafford it made the club aware of how much he had lost the fans and that a change was needed..

Think the players played a huge part in getting Moyes the boot with their whinging.

Those saying no to a banner forget that the new owner will want to get on fans good side rather quickly, if he has reservations about the manager himself and sees the vast majority want him out then he'll be more likely to do just that.
