There's definitely merits to a banner, but I'd probably agree that we need to do it if we get knocked out in the semi, the game after that. Then again I'd sack him right now, wouldn't even give the bloke the semi final he's been that bad in the league. Only reason I'd wait to do the banner is it'll have much more impact if we're out the cup and say in 12th. Want it to actually work.

Genuine question.....what 11 would you play in the semi? Given the line of opinion that you wouldn't give him the semi "he's been that bad in the league" we'd only have two or three players that didn't meet the same criteria. There'd be Barry, Funes Mori and possibly Lukaku who warrant a place.

One thing I will say is i hope the wording is dignified and respectful, and nothing like the commets we see on social media about him, since its something I am sure the media will pick up on. When all said and done, we might have to get rid of him but its not like he is a bad person, im sure he wants to do well but just dosent know how to.

A cup win might buy him more time. If it does, and he starts to turn it round in the league, then happy days.

If he doesn't turn it round, then he'll be gone within 12 months. God knows, it's been desolate for two decades, so I can put up with 12 months possible pain if there's a trophy in the cabinet.

As far as the league and keeping players here goes, this season's a write-off, cup win or no cup win.
