It should never have come to what it did this season. He's been poor for two years at least now, and the manager had a chance to take him out of the firing line last year but he dropped Joel again.

Great servant to the club. His downturn in form had a lot to do with martinezs inability to set up a defense. Good luck Tim!

Shame he had to end his career here the way he has, which has tarnished the situation for both Howard and the fans.

Hopefully he'll get a decent send off against Norwich and might even get five minutes at the end as a sub.

In truth, he's been here a bit too long, but that's not really his fault.
