No, I want to watch a decent team week in week out. One FA Cup win every twenty years is a waste of time. I took far more enjoyment from the 73 points season than I did from the 95 cup final win because I thought we were building a platform for sustained success. How wrong I was.
Have I got this right: you dont want to win the cup?!

...all pov established in spades though.

There's two (hopefully) games that really matter. Neither of them were this one against Arsenal. A SF and a final are the priority. No one in history will be remotely arsed if Everton were beaten by Arsenal at home in a meaningless game if we are cup winners in 2016.

Grasp the bigger picture. It was grasped on this forum right up to yesterday, but now seems to have been conveniently forgotten - funny that.

The bigger picture is that every season we are not in the top is a lost opportunity. I don't want Martinez wasting all of this young talent and our transfer budget in the summer. The bigger picture is that many people have genuine fears that we could be relegated next season if we stick with Martinez. We need to somehow replace a 25 goal season striker. Given that Martinez' previous signing's in this area have been Kone and Niasse i am not that confident.

Hi lads, please rate your fume right now out of ten. With 0 being chilled as a Swissman and 10 being as furious as kangaroo piss.
7/10 if you take out the fa cup, were absolute dog [Poor language removed]. Even the fa cup weve only beaten one good team. Not good enough! Martinez out!

That what you posted last week? Oh no, you didn;'t post last week did you?

A lot of people didn't post last week because winning a cup game doesn't affect their opinion on whether Martinez should go or not. Some people may like to come on and beat their chests every time we pick up a result but that's not a big time commitment these days

If he wins a cup great. Good to see us finally getting some luck because luck wins cups.

Whether you like it or not the real indicator of progression is the league. We are on a downward trajectory there. A cup final or win doesn't change that.

I'm actually pretty low on the fume factor today. I expected us to lose so was pretty much resigned to it once they scored.

In the grand scheme of things, today wasn't very important and Arsenal had a point to prove and wanted it much, much more than we did. Our season revolves round the Cup now, and has for a few weeks if we're being honest.

Regardless of whether or not we win the cup, Martinez is likely to get another season, and, I can't lie, that thought worries me a bit
