He can do pragmatic, he's proved it a couple of times this season, and again tonight. What he needs to do is realise it's not a sin and there may be a future for him.

That's the infuriating thing about Martinez, there is a brilliant manager in there. But tonight I don't think is the time to go into it. Martinez, the players and the fans stepped up to the plate and didn't let anyone down. Respect and congratulations are due and that goal will go down in folklore.

seeing as i am quick to slag off, its only right i applaud him when he gets it right did well today.
So, just as I promised, I'm still here, and still in the Martinez out camp.
Before anyone says any kind of entertainers crap - we played crap today, and won, thanks to Lukaku and spot-on tactics. I can't twist my soul and say Bobby didn't do well - decisions and everything was spot on (even if the football on show at times was... meh, but that's down to the Chelsea anti-football tactics as well).
I'm still not convinced he's the one to take us forward - good management in the cups is usually followed by an utter abomination of a performance in the league, where he does the exact opposite of today - gets everything just plain wrong, as if to spite people who praised him.
Keeping my stance on the subject of him for now. I really hope he turns it around and does the right things more often (realistically I know he won't get it right 100% of the time and we won't win 100% of the games we play in), as I (have said before) really like the guy and enjoy his management... occasionally. But that's the thing - occasionally; rising to the occasion twice a season won't make our season unless we've won all the games beforehand, will it? Rising here, against Chelsea, in the FA Cup, booking a place in Wembley, is fantastic... but if we fail in the next round and finish 12th, what exactly did this mean altogether? I know Dave will say "it's because we're developing", but we're not really are we? We're not developing if we finish worse than last year, and especially if we don't win the Cup at this point. And if we don't, it's another season written off - history is written by winners, no one cares who got to the semi final and then lost, do they?

We've not been good enough in the league but you can't ignore that we've had one of the best domestic cup runs for years. If you can't take that in to consideration then you're an absolute weapon.

He got it right tonight. First 60 minutes were extremely frustrating but we held out and did what was needed when it mattered.
For all of his faults, getting into both semi finals this season is a great achievement.
