Roberto Martinez discussion

jesus....that is so terrifyingly blatant. And he's even doing worse on the points from losing positions part!

Don't like those stats though. If you are 1-0 up and draw 1-1 you have 'lost 2 points'. The other way around and you have 'gained 1 point'.

Teams with a strong mental capacity come back from behind. Leicester did about 3 or 4 weeks in a row and look what it led to! We are mentally weak and the manager is not addressing it. We need a stronger manager I'm afraid. I love the way we play, but the manager just hasn't got what it takes.

And if he'd brought off Lennon for Barry and we'd gone on to lose? That'd be the worse sub ever?

If we'd won 2-0 you'd still go on about the Lennon Niasse sub because it was that bad? No i don't think so

But we didnt win, he made the sub and we lost.

So we dont need to imagine a world in which he made a different sub, we only have to focus on the sub that was made.

Very little been said (as far as I can see at least) about the shambolic individual defending, the piss poor penalty and the petulance of Mirallas and their contribution to yesterday's result. Seems everything is the managers fault.
I'd be interested to see the comments in the match thread when we went 2-0 up and won the penalty.....I imagine it was relatively complimentary.
The key to it for me is twofold:

A proven defensive coach to join the back room staff.
Players with balls and a winning mentality....we have a few but too many with no spine.
