So, your saying Everton is common? I thought it was a special club.

Anyway, as this is about the buyout, thank you for reiterating my point.

Haha, I definitely don't think we're common. The club isn't, our squad isn't. I don't think our fans are, so fingers crossed a wee bit of budget helps us gate crash top 4...

You'll notice I left the manager out of that.

On the subject of the 49.9% holding, I think but not entirely sure but if the holding had gone over 50% then Moshiri could perhaps have been required to buy more shares under I think certain financial rules. Esk may know more about this.

Hi mate, no, there is no legal reason for "only" holding 49.9% - it might have to do with the secured debt, as if he went over 50% it would effectively become a change of ownership and might trigger some clause in that agreement. I've not looked but will try later today.

I'm sure over the coming months as investment decisions are made his shareholding will rise.

It's called caution mate.

I think after all this time we have the perfect right to question every aspect of this deal that leaves pretty much everything in order for the foreseeable, dont you?

I know we have to be cautious Dave until we hear what he has in store for us, but surely after him spending that amount of money he will have some major plans on the table.
