I am not anti Martinez but his subs today were tripe.

Lennon needed to be on the right and Gerry on the left at half time.

O sman was actually a worse sub than Kone. Mirallas scores goals, wins penalties etc. O sman is actually worse than Kone.

Lukaku needed subbing.

We need a defensive coach. That corner was off the scale bad.

I don't think we train set pieces much, if at all. Either offensively or defensively.

As pretty much confirmed when Baines said he didn't have a clue how we would have set up to defend a corner live on national television that time.

Yep that was a bit embarrassing the way Baines was so sheepish about what we do ( or more to the point the lack of what we don't do ). He said something similar before the 1st leg against City about tactics ( or lack of them ) as well.

I think Moyes practiced defending them but not attacking them. We've been gash at them for 15 years, the only thing saving us had been Cahill and Lescott from complete embarrassment offensively.

oh ye. its easy to break through a whole team parked in the final third.

Ive watched Barca struggle to get through teams as bad as that when they park the bus.

Football is not always as simple as we are better so we should win. Give the manager and players some allowance for the fact that those games are a challenge for any team. Especially if the busboys manage to grab an early lead.

I mean, theres room for criticism in some of that performance but fuming.....get real. (not that you in particular are fuming...just the general fuming in here)

In all honesty I'm not fuming about today. I'm fuming about the same mistakes he makes all the time, I'm fuming about the obvious favorites in the squad being given game time over better players.

Of course. I wouldn't support my team if I wasn't. What's the point in following someone your whole life only to wait for them to fail? I never understand why this occurs!

I want my team to win everything! If that's delusional then people treat football far too seriously. I've harked on a few times about the word supporter lately. That's how I see it. If come May we didn't do as well as we expected or hoped, questions need to be asked. But you need to see the full result before moving forward. The season is 38 games for a reason.

Sacking him now doesn't achieve anything especially when there's still so much to play for.

So you wouldn't consider sacking him on the basis that a new manager might actually do something with this side and still get us into Europe next season somehow, instead of producing the mentally poor run of results we have endured for over 18 months with this guy?

I am against the manager. His results have been piss poor for 2 seasons. Why should it be put up with? Problem really is the board are happy so long as we are in the Premier League. No ambition from them makes its way down to people like you, who are happy to see us humbled on a bi-weekly basis by utter turd such as Stoke, Swansea and West bloody Bromwich Albion. I want him gone, and many join me in that. If you're happy to see us sit mid-table and lose nearly every home game, so be it. Look up "ambition". Can you relate to that?
