The whole thing is panning out exactly how I thought.

Initial burst from the Echo getting everyone excited about an early completion
Now, stories extending of the process coming in which will no doubt go on through the season ticket buying process.

I thought Greg Okeefe looked sheepish during his strange video report on the Echo site.

A couple of things re: this latest weary conspiracy theory

1. Who renews their season ticket solely on the basis of a takeover rumour? People base their renewals decision on the football mate.

2. If this is all some sort of elaborate hoax, then what's in it for the 2 named Americans who have spent a large wedge of cash on due diligence to this point? Or are you suggesting that's a lie as well like?

Can you do me a favour chaps?
What's that Bill?
Can you form part of an a buyout hoax where you'll be the named prospective buyers, so that we can get people to renew their season ticket? We'll spoof the entire process, due diligence the lot, that'll fool them all eh?
Yeah Bill no bother, but what's in it for us like?
Errrrmmmmm.

Please....

one word... Samuelson

So Samuelson was used to sell season tickets?

errrrrrmmm....No.

No, not exactly. he was used to quell unrest. But the theory remains the same.

I'll stop now. Im not a pessimist, I am a sceptic. I dont wish to sound so negative, i really hope this is the real deal this time. Im just pointing out past events.

this the mirror which yesterday tried to link martinez with a move to Italy and the same mirror who give us little coverage in the sports pages . the same mirror who try to sell our players.

People are desperate for any negative they can cling onto and will believe anything that gives them this... I suspect that article will get a lot of clicks as a result which i imagine is the point...

People quoting the Mirror as reason for doubt FFS? it has been obvious for a long time that they have an agenda with Everton.

There have never been noises on this scale about a takeover before, I can't even contemplate that the people involved would waste their time and efforts in pulling off such a ridiculous hoax.

Yes I am aware of the Fortress farce before somebody quotes that.

Samuelson and the whole Fortress Fund stuff was about Kenwright and his battle for control with Gregg. Once that reached it's conclusion it didn't materialise because the offer undervalued the increased equity value.

12 years on this scenario is completely different, Bill's health has driven this imo. Due diligence HAS taken place, and the sale should now conclude. Martinez comments yesterday were the strongest indicator yet, that this is moving along.

If whatever reason it didn't conclude at the 11th hour, then I'm certain there's others waiting in the wings.

One thing is for sure though, this is nothing to do with season ticket sales mate.

deep down, I know its not about season tickets.

we can't conclude a simple transfer in less than 3 weeks and even then it's never straight forward, we constantly moan about the ineptitude of our club with regards to sponsorship, kits deals, the stadium c*ckups etc but people seem to think our evil board are clever enough to create this almost Hollywood like conspiracy.

Hmm Bill is an actor and theatre producer

Im messing !
