Do you honestly believe that you're thinking of questions that haven't/won't be asked by lawyers representing the club?

Do you think Bill, for all his supposed professional flaws, won't be asking for guarantees as to the long term future of the club?

I mean no disrespect to you mate, but because we aren't in the room doesn't mean it's not happening. You (and I) know diddly squat on the negotiations thus far.

"Yeah but we know about Kitbag, Finch Farm...And don't forget we sold Rooney".

Perspective and rationality is needed.

Your asking me to trust the company lawyers paid by Everton football club to ask the questions !
Mate based on the last 16 Years of this club ownership I would want these questions asked by our shareholder association.

The same association which embarrassed the fanbase at the last AGM? No thanks. They don't represent me as a supporter nor thousands of others.

And it's a company. Because you shop at Sainsburys do you want details of their Argos acquisition?

But genuinely, its clear your concerns come from caring therefore I understand the points you're making.

Mark Cuban, Gates et al, Jobs et al, the Waltons, Buffet... it doesn't take much effort to create a list of people who create wealth through effort and the risk of their own skin. They'll likely lose their wealth the same way, with the exception of those that plan to give it away philanthropically.

A few people have been successful in keeping their money through generations, but most people with tight fists find eventually there's nothing inside them.

It's all just stuff and nonsense. Everybody starts with nothing, so where does the something come from? The concept of wealth is just that. I stand by what I said, there are two means to wealth.

Genuinely, the shareholders association are looking to uphold the directors responsibilities as company directors.
If you find tough questions embarrassing then maybe this topic is not for you.

So are these guys city arab rich or even chavski russian rich,,or will they be more randy learner which will only alter our position slightly maybe..or is the rumored Chinese takeover a better option...I have no idea on any of it, just asking, maybe someone knows a bit more and can enlighten us all.

Say what?

The PR train is in full flow.
A couple of Batman lights around the top and bottom of the page and the fanbase will be sleep walking again.

The guy making those comments in the Echo piece is a lifelong Padres fan and editor of the Padres equivalent of GOT/Toffeeweb.

People can be cynical about everything, and are quick enough to jump on any negative tales about him.

Basically all rich people will have someone somewhere disgruntled with them.

There's very few/none billionaires or near-billionaires that are thought of as saints by everyone who knows them.

Embarrassed themselves by asking questions that FANS SUBMITTED?
The only person that 'embarrassed' themselves at the AGM was Robert Elstone representing the board, failing to answer questions and refusing to give an adequate reason as to why. He should have been sacked after such arrogant behaviour, which also included bringing shame on the club by trying to pick a public fight with the mayor and city council - the same people they took the begging bowl to in the past and the same people they will have to take the begging bowl to in the future. It was hugely politically naive, astonishingly poor behaviour from a supposed experienced executive.

What an astonishingly misguided post.

Embarrassed themselves asking questions that the club agreed to answer!?
