ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

So... they plan on leaving on 77 minutes...... be strange for most of them staying that long tbh.

They mustve had their "100% genuine" polyester sweat retaining t shirts printed Im sure...on the lines of that those L4 stalls with their premature congratulation Champions t shirts pre the Chelski slipover match. Im sure they've sought the permission of Rodgers (no not that one ) and Hammerstein's respective legal people to change the chorus of their Carousel song from "walk on...walk on..." to "walk out...walk out". Or do they only sing that for the overseas visitors cameras before the game ?

I've noticed the narrative now is that he is a 'mercenary' for following the money to China. I wonder if he wouldve been branded a mercenary for joining LFC if they'd have offered more money than anyone else?
Genuinely gutted he didn't milk them now.. could have seen a nice cosy 4 year contract on £150K a week and a few lessons from Stodger on sick leave - out the door for half what they paid for him after he "failed to settle" - 2 years 38 appearances and 4 goals (including a hat trick in the League Cup at home to Newport County). GUTTED I tells ya.

And helpfully repeat it near the end for those who miss kick off due to queues in LFC shop, Shankly selfies etc

Now they are turning on the players.

"It might feel uncomfortable for some but personally I think Melwood should be targeted as well. The playing staff should appreciate the strength of feeling . What will the lowest earner in our squad be on?

20 grand a week, about a million a year? We're the clowns for subsidising those kind of salaries"

Ian Ayres.....

"“Of course everybody would like the tickets to be cheaper, including us, but that’s not an option for us right now. What is absolutely the case is that this initiative, supported by the owners and the football club, is letting more local people in, letting more kids in and the vast majority of season tickets are down in price. I think it is staggering that people should walk out over that.”

So when he says 'that's not an option for us right now' , what does he mean, we can't afford it, we don't want to do it, the owners want as much money as they can screw out of the fans..........what does 'that's not an option for us right now' really mean.......
