Think on the original thread there was the promise of the telly, but what do you think of crowdfunding for carpets?
Thinking that no carpet, no point in having the central heating on.

Carpets and paint are an issue.

The kitchen and the bathroom have been done quite recently, but the rest of the place is bare, you're walking on floorboards and most of it needs painting.

Maybe even just a fund for anything in general? Sort out the priorities with it?

I wouldn't know how to start one as I've never done it before but I'll happily donate to it as I'm sure others will.

Think Sergei posted that he can apply for paint vouchers, so that's why I was thinking carpets mate.
Suppose all it takes is someone with a PayPal account and well respected in the forum to collect the money.
Basic cord carpet would probably cost no more than 250 -300 for the whole flat if fitted by volunteers by the time you've added in threshold strips, double sided tape and stuff.
If it can be sorted, I'll throw some money in it.

I've got a 42" telly here, couple of years old, was gonna try and get 70 quid for it, it's a heavy lad like and I've got no way of getting it to Anfield but I'd happily donate it.

Hi lads. Don't want to step on any toes here like but would it not be easier to draw up a list of what's still needed , ask one of the mods to sticky it...and when somebody has a particular item to donate stick your name by the side of said item on the list.... just a suggestion like so sergei don't end up with 9 bed side tables

That's the way. Offered a micro but he has one. Got a kettle plus the other stuff,(leather chair and tin of white and magnolia). Will drop it off tonight if he is desperate. @Russian Evertonian

Had suggested this last week to the mods think it was being considered. Tommye has got all sorts of bits for him, but has been busy - think he was dropping stuff tonight that he has gathered so we will have a clearer picture soon what is needed. As for the fund would be great if anything left over went towards bringing his family over- must be awful for him and them. Well done everyone involved proud of this site and the people on it. Should all meet up for an official welcome Sergei to Liverpool drink!

If you get no volunteers to take it to him by the end of the weekend I can come and pick it up ?
