I Play for a team down Swansea way - shelvey came along to training for about a month solid before Xmas - weird guy - managed to nutmeg him as well - lovely.

I would like to see Joel play every game from here on in, at least it may show if he's good enough to be our no.1 keeper next season
agree
True. Give him a go. Personally I think Joel isnt good enough to be our #1. He should have showed Beards off from his place long time ago.
I see what you mean BUT....

He may well have shown good form in training but if the manager won't budge then how can he claim a place?

Look at last season - 3 clean sheets in the team, then dropped like a hot brick to our bemusement.

Townsend to bobble the 3rd in from the edge of the box after cutting inside on his left in a spawny error full 3-2 win for the geordies

It might be that Joel is too nice. If he is good (better than howard) in training he should have pushed for that spot but I think he has been good soldier in a way and accepted his place.
The fact (imo) is that Joel is a good #2 but not a #1 keeper. I dont trust him. My opinion might change if he gets a run and performs and shows balls. Show us your angry side Joel.

We owe it to football to throw dirt on the coffin of these scruffs. I've said it before and I'll say it again, striped horse punching kopites of the north.

If we don't oblivion-ate this lot I'm gonna' have to indulge in some kopite behaviour myself and burn a shirt.*

INTO 'EM EVERTON!!!

*I don't actually have a replica shirt, so it'll have to be an old work shirt but the point will be made.
