John Stones and Tim Howard
All quiet on the Everton front this morning, with only a couple of transfer-related stories circulating.

Firstly, Roberto Martinez has assured Blues fans that American number one Tim Howard will not be leaving the Merseyside club this month.

The US stopper had been linked with a move to MLS side Colorado Rapids earlier in the transfer window.

The Everton boss said on the matter: "It's news to me. "We've had no approach from MLS and Tim has still got another two years on his contract with us."

Oh Bobby. Do you still not realise??!:(

A bad back pass from Stones forces the Howard to come out and try to put a foot through it. He was slow for sure but why for gods sake would you put the keeper under that kind of distress.

Root cause: Poor play from Stones.
Result: More meltdown from the forum and points lost.
Solution: Valium drip.

Or just drop Howard!

These two clowns (Bobby and Flappy) are really making me hate Everton at the moment.

Has there been a more hated player for us in the last few decades.

Completely baffles me how roberto doesn't see the need to drop him

Doesn't seem like the simpler solution is for your own fans to stop jeering your players?
there is nothing simple about turning the tide of mob mentality, this won't end well if martinez's bizarre stubborn attitude surrounding howard continues, if he's doing it because he feels dropping him is giving into the crowd then his logic is deeply flawed

Soon as we can get shut of Martinez only then will the keeper situation be addressed. He has really backed himself into a corner with this one, i can see Howard being at the club next season myself.

Martinez has backed him so much if he goes now Roberto knows he will look an idiot and wrong all along, his face is more important to him then our results.

Osman a couple of seasons ago.
Anichebe
Neville before that
Saha during his drought

Actually, is there any player in the last decade that everyone truly liked for their whole Everton career minus Ferguson (his last season was '06) ?

Can't think of anyone playing every game though and for so long. Neville comes close but at least there was the (weak) excuse of him also being captain.
