I reckon 55-60 points if we can start seeing games through as we should. On a side issue, I've only just realised there are no league games over the Easter weekend - looks like it is an international break. Another tradition down the pan - used to be like Xmas with a game on Fri/Sat and another on the Monday - basically wall to wall football.
 
16 draws. Cue Roberto saying he's lost the fewest matches in a season since whenever, we have the best team in Europe etc etc.
 
With our failure to win 2 games in a row coupled with not beating top half teams I can't see much more than 5 wins from all that. Add them to about 8 draws and I reckon 23 points from our last 16.

Will around 52 points be enough to keep some of our better players? I hope so but I don't think it would be enough.
 

Next 8 games there is only stoke and the rs away that we won't go into as favourites to win the 3 points in Swansea, Newcastle, West Brom and West Ham all at home against teams we already got results against away from home this year, Sunderland and Villa away who we hammered at Goodison this year, and the rs and stoke which are on paper at least the only two you'd be nervous of.

Should be aiming for a minimum of 6 wins 2 draws out that lot of games, and anything less than 17 points (5 wins 2 draws 1 loss) would have to be regarded as another disappointing return - the revers fixtures saw us get 15/24 points in those games...

Having taken 29 from 23 games and 47 from 38 last season

I'm going to say 'highly unlikely'.

I'm trying to stay positive here,and even still, am in need of further assistance by someone that can assure me he or she had found a map towards 40 points.
Unfortunately the pure focus on the cup situation has us looking below us again.
What a basket case football club.
