people in here go to amazing lengths just to hear about gossip. I admire the work, but it is all really really pointless at the end of the day.

anyway on yarmolenko, i thought he wanted to be the 'main guy' at a club. why would he go to arsenal?

Main difference is Shane Long can control a football mate. Also, he's a striker, which is where Naismith rarely played for us. I have also seen both in the same stadium at once. I don't think Shane Long is Steven Naismith. Good theory though... maybe Steven Naismith is Diniyar Bilyaletdinov? II like this game.

Trouble is mate, That's Naismith's correct position so you can't beat him with that stick, The fact he rarely played as a forward yet scored a fair few when tried there....is swange.....stwange to the extweem.
Shane long can control a football but Naismith was also very cute in the box too.
Sorry but I think selling him could come back to bite us, Especially if were only replacing him with Long.
Horses for courses, Jumpers for goalposts.

Signed a young english lad, signed a young swizz lad whose not joining till after he serves in the army this year, sold Naismith for 8.5m bags of hula hoops and wagon wheels, lost out on a back up right back for coleman who west ham think means they are a bigger club despite them being utter turd

Thats it
thankyou.

I think we'd be crazy to blow over 20m on an eastern European who's never played in the big leagues. He came to Goodison and I didn't even notice him, he toe ends in a worldie from 25 yards (like that's gonna happen every week) in the replay and suddenly we've gotta have him. Well get one gAme in four out of him if we're lucky. I can't see how he's a significantupgrade on Kev, who we'd need to flog pronto for about 7m if this went through
If you've only seen him those two matches, then I understand your concern. Having watched him around 7 or 8 times at this point, he'd be a great signing in my opinion, even for 20mil. He really is that good.

Also, why does it matter where he's from?

To save confusion, and if you look through enough of my tweets and facebook posts you will notice that I have known about Yarmolenko for about 5 years when he was possibly one of the best players in an U21 world cup or Euros - Watched it purely for Jack Rodwell at the time...Yarmolenko was the best player in that tournament bar one Juan Mata.

He just never kicked on and became ever present in one of the lesser leagues and almost forgotten

It's a unofficial site, but they don't make stuff up on their, they tend to publish either press reports from other countries or transcripts of interviews, general consensus is that as a fan base they DO want him to leave - sounds really weird to think that they do but they acknowledge he deserves better than the Ukraine league which got to say is bloody fair of them like
yes the fans seem to think he should be aiming for a top club in Spain but realistically only ourselves have shown serious interest. he is nearly 27? so the time is right for him to move and for Kiev to get a decent price.

Just turned 26 the end of last year mate, fact is though he needs to go now and play on a bigger stage - his season really in the Ukraine comes down to 6-8 games in Europe that matter every season which is a waste, even the Kiev/Ukraine fans want to see him testing himself week in week out
