Half the squad was injured during the first half of the season, when they started coming back they picked up massively over the second half of the season and still managed to qualify for Europe, they lost probably the best outright striker in the world as well as you said, hardly an inconsequential thing

and No Dave we would get beaten by Tuchels Dortmund, we are not a better team than comfortably the second best team in Germany, they have a better set of players and they have a better manager as well, and how exactly was the team found out, they had a ridiculous injury record the first half of the season, once the player came back they shot up the league massively, all the seasons before they were battling at the top, the season after they are right back up at the top.

They were found out though. That's why Klopp left. They dropped off the world for half a season and then staggered back in the rubbish Bundesliga to the EL spot. Now Tuchel has them second in a two horse race.

This Everton team would struggle against that league's 2nd place team about as much as that Everton team from last season. We beat Wolfsburg in both games. They were alright, but we battered them on the counter and were good value for our win in Germany....and that was with a much inferior team than the one we have now.

I underline again: huff and puff pressing outfits: match their energy and you can do them with superior talent/tactics.

I disagree. I think they to some extent do realise that their squad is a complete mess, but that's obviously all Brenda's fault of course!

You can hear them moaning about the fact that they've got the useless Bentelehead up front, supported by the likes of the now ridiculed...

...Firmino, Milner, the Welsh Xavi, Mamadou 'Baby Giraffe' Sakho and the useless Lovren to name a few of their overtly average players.

The amusing part is that they believe that Klopp will somehow magically turn them into a league winning team with his amusing antics.

Or that he'll be able to quickly change their fortunes through his own shrewd purchases. They're simply full of mediocrity and they hate that.

They've gone from potential league winners (well they should have been!) to dross in two seasons and it's only going to get worse...

6 weeks ago they thought that squad was good enough to win them the league under Der Kaiser mate.

They're a complete set of teds and they only accept that players are bobbins when it's patently obvious to a blind man or they're being sacrificed. Benteke is the current scapegoat only because they don't want to contemplate that Klopps tactics aren't working. They're therefore willing to throw a couple of victims under the bus in order to keep their delusion intact. They still thing that donkey Firmino is going to prove to be Wuurrrld class.
