I honestly don't think we could attract a top goalkeeper at the moment

Improvement is really the best we can expect I think

Agree, not likely that Butland would take a sideways step to join us. Probably couldn't afford him as well.

We could probably offer enough for Stoke to sell, but then out goes the options in other areas of the park

I think we'd be fine with a merely competent keeper, so long as Lukaku keeps slotting

I still say go for Pantilimon on the cheap. Decent shot stopper and a step up from Howard, without breaking the bank

I'm under no illusion when it comes to his potential

He's not amazing or anything, but he's better than Howard and it frees up money to be spent elsewhere

I'd be delighted if we spent the 15 Million to get Butland tbh, but I don't see it happening

Whatever happened to that Denis Boyko we were rumoured to be interested in a couple of weeks ago.

Not going to lie, I've never seen him play but reports are quite good, would be cheap, 27 and can't be any worse than this joker.

Plus he's Ukrainian, and you know who else comes from there ffs.

They won't sell for anything in jan. Maybe 25m+ in the summer when they can line up a replacement. Prem clubs dont need to sell to other prem clubs as much given the TV money. We told Chelsea to do one, West brom told Spurs to do one, etc.

Sorry Doug work got in the way. I remember, for instance, Peter Reid getting a hell of a lot of stick at the end and he was one of the few really good players I've seen in a blue shirt. Remember not liking it at the time because of the way he'd been for us.
