He is yeh. He's dead good at togger though so he'd still be ace.

Also he's not Kone.

Depending on what we go for (if anybody), then we either need to look at Yarmolenko (or the type - Didavi from Stuttgart comes to mind).

Or, I'd love to see us go for Bonaventura from Milan. He's the most similar player to Pienaar I've seen in a long time, but has a bit more speed about him.

Mertens would also be excellent if possible.

Yeah that was my thinking. Think we have badly needed someone to replace Pienaar for 2 seasons now.

I've done a quick look at possible left sided wingers, and the only possible player of decent quality that may be available is Real Madrid's Jese Rodriguez. Any thoughts?

But now, based on Bobby's insistence that we will always come out of each transfer window stronger, there has to be something coming. Naismith wasn't a regular starter, but he was always in the mix as one of the first options off the bench. You don't get rid of someone like that with no expectation of replacing him. Should be an interesting month. My sense is if we sign someone to immediately contribute to the first team, it will be someone out of the blue.

Still in CL; will spend in Jan so likely to finish above us now we seem to gift other teams points on a whim; professed to "love" Chelsea - a team desperately in need of a regular goal scorer ........
