Just give it a bloody rest, won't you?Just getting back to the point of the thread: the data does suggest a very bang average sort of points/position to our season so far: not great, not poor by our historic standards. What I would contest though is that the performances have been well above what we've seen in the past decade and that has to be seen as the basis for projecting what will or can happen at the end of the season.
Basically the data also shows that in our points/position we can take a comfortable top half of the table spot by season's end. In four of the ten season's we're either just below or just above the halfway totals of seasons where we went on to finish top 7 or even top 5. So it's all to play for. As others have pointed out, that's going to need a defensive rethink and maybe a move into the transfer market.
We don't want Top 10 finishes. That is what Phil Neville suggested and there was uproar.
