eh, 24 months of poor performances?! He's had a patchy few months yes but not 2 years!!

Fine beginning of last season. 18 months then. A season and a half. Whatever you want to call it. Certainly not 2 months. He was diving wrong way away from shots as long ago as leicester away opening day last season.

He's cost us 15-20 points over the period.

Pretty sure he's been giving it to the supporters on and off for a while now, today wasn't a first.

There's a very real and simple reason he's being labelled a "scapegoat": he's not very good. Scapegoat is the wrong word anyway, that would imply he's being hard done by in the criticism here. He's not. He's damn awful and needs binning.

He is though, it's a holistic problem - the back line. Every bad result we have is being blamed on him irrespective of whether he was at fault which does mean he is being hard done by. Yes we need a new keeper but he's not nearly as awful as everyone is making out. People get annoyed he stays on his line, he comes out and punches today and people want him to catch, he can't win at times.

Not sure about the on off thing, don't get to the game enough to know about that.

Did he not put in a good performance against spurs this season? I don't think he is the crux of the issue it is the back line as a whole, of which he is a part.
Brendan Galloway, John Stones and maybe Mori cost us today, but many will say it was Howard - he's the easy way out.

Give up dude.

Every fan but you cannot be wrong. We're not blind and we can see how awful Tim is these days. He needs replacing in Jan or at the very least giving Robles a go (who I don't rate massively either).

We cannot go on with his performances so poor.

Does it hurt their feelings? What's the problem? If they're going to give it to him, why shouldn't he give it right back?

it is a hard one, on the one hand you want professionalism but at the same time how would you feel being shouted at, abused and taken the mick out of week in week out... irrespective of whether or not you were at fault

I preferred his middle period when any opposition player could swing at a ball twenty yards out & in be in with a sporting chance of a goal. Apparently, this was when he was good.

Bang average before; garbage now.

Of course they all contributed to our downfall today as did howard. But this is not based on today. This is 18 months coming to a head. There's literally no logical argument in his defense. So what he played well v spurs. Well done he got us a point. Well he cocked up v city, arsenal, liverpool, united, bournemouth, and countless others.

In fact I personally was done with him when he cost us the game at chelsea in martinez's first season by bottling out of a challenge with terry in the last minute. He's been poor for years. I actually backed him for years while some of my mates thought I was mad. And I now think they were right.

I'm not defending the idea that we need a new keeper but getting on his back week in week out is not going to solve anything. The back line as a whole have been woeful all season and to just point the finger at Howard is not going to solve that problem either.
