Then what? Get a new manager. Give our best young players agents the go ahead to agitate for a move. Get new manager to shuffle everything. Start all over again.

Rinse and repeat. Worked for Villa, Newcastle, Spurs and the other clubs similar to us though hasn't it?

The players will get better over time, but at what club? Us or another will depend as much on what we do now as in a few years time when they are fully developed.

Apparently They had scored 6 away goals all season, that literally tells you everything about us ffs, wish we could sack him but there isn't really anyone out there. You can see why he conceded 280 in 4 seasons at Wigan now, don that reason sadly I can't see the defending getting sorted out, scary stuff

Be nice to see the players step up themselves too though, they're not robots, they need to take charge out there, we are lacking leadership on the field. I think they let Martinez down too often.

Bruce hasn't managed a side to top 10 finishes, so he's not a valid manager to use.

End of the day, if Stoke finish above us again, and get to a cup final with a less spend than Martinez, he'll have done a better job. I don't rate him, but he's certianly doing better than Martinez is the last two seasons

That's his limit though. We have potential to be a lot better. Hughes has hit his glass ceiling, like Moyes always did.

The best scenario for us right now is getting a successful takeover with money provided to Martinez to fix the few remaining issues in the team in order to compete. The young players would be the investment, and their manager staying and be more likely to stay themselves.

Ripping the whole thing up only gives us more chance of it all unraveling.

Some poor defending today but it getting bummed by Clattenburg at the end that's making some of you biffs so angry.

I love how we attack. Barkley and Lukaku are just superb and our best players by far. But defending like we do just cant go on.
