Roberto Martinez discussion

Maybe make up a list of "replacement" managers? Then tear it up again when we get our next result.

It must be so frustrating for you and the others. Martinez has the full backing of the everton board and is manager for however long he wants basically. Its time to get behind our manager and his developing young team he's putting together not constantly undermine them.

I look forward to the usual suspects going missing very soon. Honestly, I don't know why you bother.
Having the backing of an unambitious board means absolutely nothing.

They wouldn't sack him if we got relegated.

You're a troll, nothing more or less.

I think he could be the illegitimate child of ossie ardiles.

Was just thinking before, the last 2 managers I remember playing swashbuckling football were Keegans Newcastle and Ardiles Spurs and well never ended well for them.

I reckon Newcastle fans would rather have that style of football where they were in the title race but conceding goals ultimately cost them. They went pragmatic after that and yo yo up and down divisions.

We can't win the league so at least go down fighting. It's frustration because we are giving daft goals away at the back.

3-2 and he couldn't even hold on against a team who looked dead on their feet. Not got the balls to make the big decisions (well not big, just the right ones) incase he hurts one of his favourites. Get rid.

You've been saying this for about a solid year and not very much has changed position-wise. I get he's going nowhere, but he's not replacing Howard, he keeps thinking Kone will 'turn it around' instead of this is what he is and he ignores the just a little bit important part of the game called 'defending'. You're not the least bit worried by any of this?

Martinez continued: “Overall we showed an incredible reaction to come back and get in front but at 3-2 we should have managed the game a lot better.

“It is the hardest thing to do, to get back on level terms, then get ahead. It was a real blow to lose the third goal but clearly we have to become stronger defensively.

“There are certain actions we have to defend a lot better and, as a team, we have to get more mature. We have to be wiser in protecting that lead.”

Well work on it and fix it then!!!
He doesn't need to do press conferences,he just needs to say the same thing and let it be read out after every match

What else was he supposed to say?

see a manager putting together an exciting young team

You conveniently missed the word "young" from @davek's statement.

That means they will get better. They need time to do that though.

Turn it in, azul...and you, davek. You're not the anti-hansens, either of you.

FFS you'd think these kids had never played a match. No other team got a kid or two in their side?

Time could/will soon become a comfort we won't have.

And the band played on....
