Roberto Martinez discussion

He continues to pick Tim Howard... I mean he has pros and cons but what is he thinking, it's becoming an unforgivable blind spot.
I wouldn't get rid of him but if I'm being honest I'm struggling to see us ever being well organised defensively under him. Maybe he/we needs a coach to work specifically on defending.

Can't be bothered checking mate, it may have been "Obviously hope we win" or along those lines, but I never allured to wanting to get beat because the fume was funny.

And I agree with that. Whats the point of switching right now?

But he HAS to take a hard look at himself which, according to everyone who watched Wigan, he wont. Which means we are where we will be for the foreseeable future.

Agree with that mate, we could be far less attacking and concede a lot less and probably pick up more points, but there must be a way to do both. And I think the fix could be as simple as not ignoring the opposition when they are attacking until they have passed or taken a shot.

Finding myself increasingly worried that the legacy of this team is going to be one of immense talent, but having nothing to show for it, and then eventually the big name players will move on to Champions League teams. Damn do I hope I'm wrong.
None will leave and you will be surprised by the talented additions that want to join our unique footballing philosophy

Or worse with a hard run of games.
Can't believe we are in the bottom half with this squad of players
I can believe it. Martinez has never been able to get his teams to defend. Paul Merson hit the nail on the head with his comment about us. But more worryingly, if we keep Martinez much longer we can forget about Europe, and as a result rom, stones and Barkley will no longer be with us. Martinez calls it the golden generation with his young squad but frankly he doesn't have the capability to manage them.

Not Howards fault today, Naismith back pass, came out several times, saved a couple and was brave enough to do what cost us so much last time in tackling the forward and succeeded, undone by some great goals and terrible defending today. Thought he did alright tbh.

There are plenty of managers out there who would not have this talented squad in the bottom half leaking goals for fun mate.
There will be loads of managers out there

Don't reckon it's as talented as people make out in all honesty. We have world class, genuine world class, in Stones, Lukaku, Del, Baines. Some of the others I think we overrate as Evertonians a bit, especially McCarthy and Coleman, and Barry is no spring chicken anymore. Cleverly and Kone are some of our starting players. Is it really that good as we make out? Not sure.

Yes.

Lukaku will be gone, so there's 20 goals a season.

Stones will be up for grabs with City, United, and Chelsea all going in for him.

Barkley could stay as I think his price tag would be too high for what he delivers. And Del will be here another season.

But this squad is all in the shop window as we're not performing on the pitch.

Top 4 hasn't been as open as this for a decade. Players like Lukaku with his agent, will see this, see that it's no fault of their player, and get them out the club.

Thats a fact.

Nothing to do with the manager though eh?

And who's job is it to get rid of that 'nobhead GK'?

You're an absolute joke, Dave.
Maybe make up a list of "replacement" managers? Then tear it up again when we get our next result.

It must be so frustrating for you and the others. Martinez has the full backing of the everton board and is manager for however long he wants basically. Its time to get behind our manager and his developing young team he's putting together not constantly undermine them.

I look forward to the usual suspects going missing very soon. Honestly, I don't know why you bother.
