Roberto Martinez discussion

And I agree with that. Whats the point of switching right now?

But he HAS to take a hard look at himself which, according to everyone who watched Wigan, he wont. Which means we are where we will be for the foreseeable future.
Or worse with a hard run of games.
Can't believe we are in the bottom half with this squad of players

their trying their best with the cards they have. Interesting post put on here a couple of weeks ago from the wigan fan posted originally in 2012 saying Martinez had a very average side when he joined with very solid but poor footballers and he got them all trying to play it out from the back and into midfield to other players who were not comfortable. Our club does not need individual defenders/players it needs a complete defensive system starting at the front through midfield to the back, like most of the successful sides in Europe are playing.

So where's the evidence that RM is or is going to produce this? - most evertonion arses twitch when the oppo' get into our half of the pitch -are you saying RM is coaching this into our player's now but they are not getting it?

To be honest i enjoy watching this team rather then the moyes team. Just sign a keeper in his peak.

Moyes team was great to watch in three of his years here. Out of 11.

Martinez has been great to watch in 1 and a half of his 2 and a half years here.

I mean I want good football and also success, but he has been an improvement in that area. Also been better at bringing through the youth.

OTOH, somehow even worse at derbies which I didn't think was possible.

Tried to post earlier but didn't go through: would like to see structural changes. Ideally a coaching reshuffle. I'd settle for a "statement" purchase of a new goalie or no nonsense defender. Think he gets to the end of the season, then board reassess and make a deliberative not crises-driven change. We are in no danger of relegation (as was the case briefly last season). For those calling for an immediate sacking: who do you get in that can build on the bold attacking play we have enjoyed (i.e. Not Moyes). A change now really risks a tailspin.

They wait like muggers to pounce on our teams misfortunes. Sorry, I can't be doing with that. It's dishonest and it's a disgrace. I'm just made up Martinez will be here a long long time. He's brought a level of attacking football not seen since HK I days. Get rid of that nobhead GK and it's upwards and onwards.
Christ with that joker in charge, this joker
