Hi mate, i dont think he's "better" than Ozil....yet.
Ozil is the typical "type" of playmaker who is fantastic with the ball but without it he's a luxury player. For Arsenal he fits them perfectly when they have players behind him focused on winning the ball and giving it to him.
Calhanoglu has different "qualities". Not only is he a better dead ball specialist than Ozil (probably the best in the world already at 21 years old) and we really need someone to take our free kicks and corners as were useless at them....but he's also not shy to harry the opposition and perform defensive duties. He seems to be a "winner" and a team player here and so if alongside Barkley and McCarthy i think they would do very well attacking but also not concede ground defensively.
I think we need someone like him OR a Bernardo Silva type there so the opposition cant commit many players forward knowing one pass can unleash Deulofeu Barkley or Lukaku and one foul can give us a goal via a free kick from these guys....alternative is a Neves type all rounder or a Carvalho type box to box powerhouse...
Interesting to see which he goes for in terms of style. Yarmolenko for example has the size as well as the power so it could be he now brings one or two players like that to add some steel.
Btw when posting if you click "post reply" we can get a notification who youre replying to as now if you just write a post its not linked to anyone...
Boyko.....Martinezs impression after he was asked about this Keeper. ...hmmm. ....
Never know what to think of Martinez reactions when he is asked abut any transfer rumour - but he did seem utterly non plussed didn't he lol
You could draw a conclusion about it but like we know bobby is master in talking crap about possible transfers
I honestly felt the same as his demeanour is as he isn't bothered, an overall lazy player who is carried by his expert passing and touch.Hi mate, i dont think he's "better" than Ozil....yet.

Wouldn't any take over interest prevent any major business decisions happening around the squad. No new potential owners are going to be happy watching an asset leave, devaluing the business without having any say in it, and our current owners aren't likely to jeopardise a potential sale of the business so close to the end of a sale by spending out.
Of course there's always the other small matter that the football manager has already said there's likely to be no incoming players as well.
Also Zat have you ever had a transfer wank list come true? It's the same every transfer window on here. Sell him buy him...its all about as plausible as me telling everyone I'd dumped my old girlfriend so I could finally hook up with India Summers.
Takeover interest won't affect transfer dealings mate. It's like selling a house with a mortgage. The price is the price less the value of the mortgage. So you get the difference ie equity. In the case of a corporate takeover the price is the price at the date agreed and what is actually paid over at completion of the deal is (allowing for anything that comes up in due diligence) broadly speaking price agreed +/- any adjustments e.g less the extra cash that's already in the bank from selling a player.

However statistics suggest otherwise: quite often he is the player in the Arsenal squad who covers the most KM per ninety minutes.
His average distance covered this season up until Octover was higher than the likes of the 'hard working' Sanchez, Willian and Sterling.
I've also been looking for updated stats which I saw on SSN this week, which again highlighted his work ethic upon the pitch.

I reckon Calhanoglu would snap him in two...the stats showing distance covered im not sure how to really equate them as surely the best teams make the ball work for them.
For us Barry runs the most but is so slow and not box to box so its weird.
