The only teams that have conceded more than us lie 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 19th, and 20th. Swansea, in 18th, are level with us, and Leicester, the complete anomaly in this instance, are top as we all know.
I'm not saying Howard is at fault for every goal we concede, because he's not. But you can look at goals against sides like City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Rooney's goal the other week, and say he couldn't have done any more? Where you can look at the goal and say yes, he should have taken charge, made the ball his, not dived out the way or done that ridiculous star jumping nonsense. The inability to leave his line and make the ball his has seen us concede against sides like West Brom, Sunderland, Norwich and Palace off really soft crosses that fall in and around his 6 yard box that he simply hasn't taken control of, and it's costing us points.
I can't really fault him for Saturday, was surprised he stayed on the pitch mind, and it's not as if he's the only player who has made calamitous mistakes, even on some of the goals I've mentioned there. But he's certainly not a strong point that defence.
