Wonder who will be their new january signing...the one who single handedly lifts them to top four and beyond. Obviously all this is still General Rodgers fault.

I thought Firminho would be amazing but hes done nothing for them....Gomez i rated really highly at charlton and posted on here saying i wish we had him but for Liverpool looked nothing compared to Galloway.

Only Coutinho really i think for me.

Maybe hmmmmm
Ermmm
Not to sure
Might take
The only one I would take are injured
Ings and Gomez.

*Jurgan the Gurmanian* is gonna jib these clowns long before his contract is up.

And i pray to God Tony Pulis has a hand in driving the final nail through that shower of self entitled knobends delusions of being something their NOT!!

Would anyone take any of their players?
I'd have Can. Brenda far too often played him as a defender during his reign but from what I've seen, if played in midfield, he's a good player.

Coutinho I'm unsure of: can score some lovely goals and shows games of absolute wizardry, however most of the time he's just so-so.

If he's on form he'd improve our squad although he is not consistent enough to regularly do that. Benteke for the bench as well *winks*

It's a matter of opinion. Is he better than Koné on his day? Clearly so. Is he better than Koné on most days? Yes, but to what extent is my point.

He is not a consistent player and quite regularly doesn't influence through a game; most objective Reds will tell you so as it highly frustrates them.

So to answer your question, would he improve our squad? Of course, but not enough that I'd splash £25m+ or whatever it would cost for him.

It's a bit like Mirallas the previous few seasons - on the face of it he looks great and can influence games, yet overall he can be rather frustrating.

I think if he was sat there on our left hand side with barkley, deulofeu and lukaku he would be less relied on then he would for the red sh*te which would probably help him

I know all fans are biased but the way they defend their club is scary. With the whole Suarez thing rather than say yeah it was a bit off that whole racism thing but he's really good at football and will serve his ban, they actually defended racism, citing examples of South American street culture and just generally just a bit mad.

Same with the holding hands saga against WBA last week, rather than look at the bigger picture and say yeah it did look pretty embarrassing they go into their shell and defend every action their club does.

Slightly off topic but you highlight Watfords two forwards.

How about Nathan Ake on loan from Chelsea? Could possibly step in as competition for Barry whose not getting any younger + provide cover at LB and LCB.

(sorry for off topic, feel free to delete as applicable mods).

I haven't seen enough of him. He didn't massively stand out to me and I am not sure he is noticeably better than Besic. So it's a no for me.

I really like Deeney on the performances I have seen of him. An old fashioned centre forward who sacrifices his own game to get the best of a strike partner. He does a lot of the dirty work that allows Ighalo to flourish (folding the ball up, closing down defenders, challenging for first balls) and I think Lukaku would benefit from this as well. He also takes up good positions and picks a pass well. We have Kone who does a similar role but I think Deeney is a big upgrade on him. He has also played a lot in the English game at a lower level, and really has a knack of how to flourish in the British game. He is one of those players who is a walking advert for why 2 up front can still be effective.

Liverpool couldn't get a handle on him at all yesterday. It showed the limitations of Lucas who was just bulled by him and Sakho who couldn't get near him. When you consider the money Liverpool have paid for Benteke, Firmino, Sturridge, Origi & (the expected 10 million) on Ings and their output this season, and compare that to how Deeney and Ighalo destroyed them yesterday it just puts it into perspective.
