Roberto Martinez discussion

Hold on mate: I'm winding up GOTers by doing what exactly? Sticking to my reasonable and long argued view about this season's targets while you and others flail about screaming that we're not getting CL footy?

I'm consistent on those objectives and I argue my support for the manager's rebuilding constantly...good times and bad.

Sorry if that's not what you want like.
let me reiterate:
Big win for us. 3-0.

  • They will be taken seriously (half the success they've had is through opposition underestimating them)
  • We've got the sort of mobile defence that will snuff out their threat on the break
  • They're missing two of their five ever-presents - Drinkwater and Huth. Drinkwater, in particular, will be a massive miss as he's the pivot of that side from defence to attack
  • They're really not that good. The defence looks suspect, and with Huth absent it'll only get more flakey.
  • We are VERY tough to beat, as the form guide will tell you.
  • We are in the middle of a run of form that creates lots of chances and sooner or later they'll again (S'land/Villa) end up being taken and burying some team.
We'll win this for sure. The only question is by how much. Leicester are coming down to earth with a massive bump tomorrow

...I suggest best you stop flailing my friend, and rein in your arrogance ...and expectation

who wrote that?

  • One defeat in nine games
  • Comfortable mid-table slot to move off from
  • Cup final one step away
  • Best bunch of young players in the PL

Bottom line : we all love Everton.
Above the line : things are consistently denying us the love
Audit report : performance is not meeting expectation
Davek's report : YOU'RE ALL PLOTTERS

When you evaluate any manager in any business one of the key considerations is the results created from the resources (funding, personnel and opportunity) available. A very good manager will generate results in excess of the expectation of the resources (and competition) available to him. If you find someone in business who consistently produces results beyond expectations then you cling onto them, you never want to lose them to a competitor.

With Martinez I feel we have someone who is in danger of producing under-achieving results relative to resources. I think he has to work very hard to maximise the results from the opportunities he currently has both in the cup and league, otherwise at the end of his third term even our Board may have to question his effectiveness. Certainly new owners, should they arrive will do so.

please don't get around the swear filter
There's some people making a holy show of themselves over this result.

I cant wait until after we get the points against Newcastle. The vaults are bulging as it is.

What the holy f@#k is up with you for gods sake

I'm getting desperate to find replacements too. But I know that very soon we will start getting results that fit our performances. The assault on the top 4 usually started after the halfway point with Moyes, and what's to say this won't be the case with Martinez.
